Description

1000 Denier Nylon – Denier Nylon (Textured) | Fluorescent Green | 60″ Width

1000 denier nylon consists of high tenacity nylon yarn, plain woven fabric with a polyurethane coating, making it water repellent and highly durable. Denier nylon is not as expensive as its Cordura version, but it has very similar properties. We use Cordura to refer to any hook and loop such as Velcro. As a result of this durability, military specified products often require Cordura. But for commercial uses, nylon canvas works just as well.

Use this fabric for the following projects:

  • Luggage
  • Sport bags
  • Duffel bags
  • Backpacks
  • Wallets
  • Horse blankets
  • Pet beds
  • Chaps
  • Much more!

Due to its resistance to abrasion, high-strength, price and a variety of colors, denier nylon a popular choice for durable products. Especially relevant, 1050D ballistic nylon is also available for purchase.

In addition, nylon (polyamide) fiber was invented by the DuPont corporation.
