Project from Cutesy Crafts
Entryways, stair rails, ceilings and walls could all use a face-lift with bunting or garland. With fabric scraps, pinking shears, and some ribbon, you can make a lovely garland for your home. It makes a perfect addition to a Valentine’s Day tea party or dinner for two.
Whether you’d prefer to sew or use fabric glue, you can make this project. That’s also what makes this project ideal for children and adults alike. Kids can help with gluing and or sewing depending on their age and skill level. Garland is fully-customizable depending on your home décor or what fabric scraps you have lying around.

For your front door or to hang anywhere in your home, a Valentine’s Day wreath is a welcoming thematic decorative piece. Again, you can use scrap fabric for this one and cut small strips that can be tied around any shape, really. A heart is ideal for this holiday, of course, but you can use any shape by buying a pre-made metal wreath frame or bending a wire coat-hanger.

With little fabric, batting, and a needle and thread, you can put your favorite fabrics (or scraps) to good use. What we really love about these is the versatility. Even the most novice sewer can manage this project. No right-side, wrong-side sewing needed! Just sew together your hearts and leave some room to stuff with batting and use skewers to mount them all over your house! Use them as centerpieces, in houseplants, and anywhere you want to bring some Valentine’s Day cheer.

Make your own cards using scrap fabric ! Show someone you care by putting your own special message into these scrap fabric notecards. With a thick paperweight, you can run these right through your sewing machine. However, you can just use a bit of good glue to attach your fabric to the paper. Just remember to use lightweight fabrics if you plan to send these in the mail to save on postage costs.
